Charlie ran a good race, closed good and got up for third.
I thought that was excellent for his first race.
We had a great time and really enjoyed visiting with the Adams family.
When we left the track it was 98 degrees, when we got to Ashdown a cold front had come thru and it was 68 degrees.
:hat:

always fun to be at the track with redneck and Randel. but when you have watched your brother raise a colt and get him to the track and over 3 yrs. worth of planning comes together like it did yesterday well it sure makes you happy for everyone involved. they have done great with all there horse's and I no it takes a little luck but it takes more work than anything. great job hawg. life is good again and we are about to have a lot more fun.

while Nancy and watched I kept yelling pull him back enough to get in close.I know the jockey is pretty good. But was it his fault, Charlie's fault about the start last time and do you felt like the Jock could have gotten him over ? I told Nancy as the rounded the curve he is toast cause he kept him too wide/. Good luck though I think he will win soon

Oh, jeez, that had to be a disappointment. John, hope he is OK, and your rider too. Compromised by the post position again, but just the opposite from the previous race. Gotta say though, you sure have one athletic horse!

Yes John I really hope Charlie and your rider are ok, I didn't see a very good angle of it, I just saw Charlie break SHARPLY to the left, straight at the fences. My heart fell at the beginning of that race.

If you can get a replay and watch the head-on, it paints a clearer picture. The track announcer said he hit the rail, but I don't think he did. They were coming out of the chute and he broke in to the gap. When the rider tried to straighten him out he jumped straight up, rider came off. Anyway, the chart said he walked off, so hoping for the best.
